this week.WOW!

Well this week there were a few things that went on. It was a decent week for the most part. I was really busy it was crazy! I had a course, homework, chapel, skating, youth group, prayer, church, exam and I went down to Victoria. It was an intense week but really good at the same time. I like keeping busy with one thing after another. My tiredness caught up to me though by the end of the week I went to bed on sunday night at 7pm! It was awesome! I haven't been to bed that early in a long time! I had to wake up at 6:45am to go in the prayer room so and I had to catch up on sleep. I felt well rested when I woke up! Mmmmm so anyways my week started off on monday needing to finish my homework, I had 45% of my mark due on tuesday for my class so I needed to get it all done! I had to finish everything on monday which went pretty! Tuesday we had a course called "Theology" by a man named Lech. He is a great speaker I like how he is loud and can get your attention focused on the lesson it helps to listen better. We only had his course for one day and we have it for the next 5 weeks or so one day a week. On wednesday it was my busyest day, I woke up and had chapel than we had lunch than went to the skating rink to skate and than went back and had dinner than I had youth group than a meeting after youth group and than I had to try and study for the exam on thursday some more. So it was a packed day of things! Friday was the start of 24/4 another prayer time. Instead of a week this time we did 4 days and had a prayer room. It was really good and It is just ending today which is monday. I really liked my time in the prayer room. I keep on feeling that God is trying to tell me to have patience. Im finding myself really confused on future career choices lately and not knowing what to do in September. THere are so many things out there and I don't know what I like alot. I don't want to go into something and not like it after a month, that would not be fun at all. So I have been praying for direction on where God wants to take me next and  I feel patience is being told to me. In the meanwhile I will be applying this week and seeing what doors come open with that and other things.

Warmland church is going well. Youth group on wednesday was awesome! I hung out with my girls and I love just hanging out! One girl Olivia had gotten me a sweet present! She bought me a hat over christmas and gave it to me at youth! It was so thoughtful and nice of her! During my group discussion with the girls we talked about sinning. A few of the girls were really asking questions and I mean im no Bible scholar but I remember praying while they were asking me these questions..saying k God im not sure what exactly to say so guide my words please. As i spoke i felt confident in my words talking with them and telling them about sinning and how it is not good. God doesn't like sinning and it hurts him when you do it. If you go to him and and ask for forgiveness he will forgive you. It was a sweet talk! So yes youth went well that night and we all had a good time!

Being bold and not afraid.

This week has been a very challenging week. At times I found myself very angry and did not know why. I was just not myself. By the end of the week I saw how things that bother me and stressful times were turning into anger. I did not like what I saw. On Saturday after going to Victoria with some people from church we went and handed out hot chocolate and some gloves and blankets etc. to the homeless people. This is such a Joy of mine. I love it so much! My heart breaks for these homeless people and as much as people seem to be afraid or hesitant of talking with them sometimes I am so not afraid and very bold to talk with them and start up a conversation. Some of these people do not choose to be on the streets, they lack money to get into a house so they are working and staying in  shelter in the meanwhile trying to make money. So I really enjoyed talking with the different men and woman that night and asking about their stories. I really would like to go out again and give out things and reconnect with the people I was talking with. They are so lonely some of them and sometimes a hello or how are you doing can brighten their day up. Alot of them are stuck into drugs and need help. I know I cant help them but I cant talk with them and pray with them if they let me. It defanatley is incredible some of the people and the potential they could have if someone helped them. They are so caught up in drugs some of these people and know nothing else.
With all of this it made me realize why am I so mad in my life...Im letting things get to me that are not as bad as these people who are helpless on the street some of them. It really made me think and when i talked with some of them it brought joy. One guy wants to come to church because he said he saw a difference in us. His name was Gene and he was not involved in drugs he has been clean for a while now. He hangs out downtown and has a little job but does not pay much. He was a very nice man and he was talking to another man that came along with us from the church and they had a good conversation. It was sweet!

I forgot to include this! This week I got a hair cut! Erin cut my hair...I was definitely  in need of one, I hadn't had one in so long! I love it! It feels short to me but it feels healthier now!

Soooo that was my crazy week!
it was good and i learned lots!
Im really learning patience...in everything I do and its so hard!

Im leaving on thursday for missions fest in vancouver so im excited to go downtown and see the town!

some prayer requests would be:
to get all my work done
keep on trying to have a decent bed time
for me to have patience
for guidance as to what im suppose to do come september
to keep on leanring lots
to prepare everyone for their ministry trips!

Mountains & Homework!

Boarding on Mt.Washington! On the top!

Such a gorgeous place to be snowboarding with mountains surrounding
you! Last week from Monday to Friday I went to Mt.Washington on Vancouver Island and it was lots of fun! There were quiet a few injurys; 2 broken wrists, 1 concussion and 1 pinky slit right open to the bone! Luckily I did not get hurt too badly. I had a man crash into me which kind hurt lol but im glad i didnt get to hurt. Helmets are a good thing to wear everyone! Im glad i wore one haha! I went snowboarding Monday,Tuesday, thursday, friday and than on Wednesday we went
snow shoeing some of us! We also went tubing on wednesday night which was lots of fun! I was afraid to go but it was fun and my bad memories of tubing from when I was a kid have been forgotten lol...when I was younger I fell off the tube pretty bad
and hadn't been since so I was scared but it was fun after all! Over all the week was really good! It was a week to be with everyone and get to know everyone more. Usually after snowboarding I would hop in the hot tub and end up having some good conversations with some of the girls there! We were challenged to come out of our shell more when we would have chapel each night at 8. We talked about the names that we gave each other at the beginning of the year and how we were growing into them or if they were being evident in our life. Defiantly a lot of the names given were evident with the person it had been given to and it was exciting listening to people talk and having people talk out loud that are usually to shy to talk. It was so beautiful being surrounded by God's beautiful creation all week! Being up on the mountain and looking out over the OCean and seeing the rocky mountains was so incredible! In the morning
when we woke up the sky was sometimes purple and it was so pretty! The week challenged us as a group to grow together and get to know each other in a different setting than here at kaleo. We stayed in this beautiful lodge that was like a log big cabin! I love the wood it was made out of and it was just so gorgeous to live in for a week! I was sad to leave the place but I left with lots of great memorys and fun times boarding! We might be going back up there and hopefully there will be more snow next time because there was not that much! It was 11 degrees on the top of the mountain! People were snowboarding in their t-shirts on one of the days!!
All in all my week was great! I had a really good time with everyone!
Church was sweet on sunday! The capenwray students came out from thetis island and we might organize a hangout with them all! They are all really nice people! I'm excited if we get to hangout!

Sooo some prayer requests:
-pray for a sense of peace
-for my homework that I have had lots of lately that I will get it all done
-to get ready for my trip and raise all the money that I need

Happy to be back :)

First week back at Kaleo! I missed it lots over the break but also enjoyed my time at home throughly. I am glad to be back here though with everyone and pumped for the months ahead of craziness! It is already getting so busy!
My trip back last sunday was a VERY long day of traveling! Being sick was not very nice either lol. I left the city around 4:30am to go to the airport and got on the plane by 7am. As soon as i sat down i fell asleep for a basically the whole ride and than i got into vancouver by 9am BC time and was in the airport from than until 2pm. I watched some Gossip Girl and went on the internet, luckily there was free internet in the airport :) I got picked up and went downtown vancouver to kill some time to get on the ferry to come back. I walked around on Robinson street i think the name is...reminded me of Toronto a bit. I got a really good crepe that tasted so good! I than caught the ferry to the Island and it was so cool! It was my first ferry ride! It was a really nice ferry! When i got off of it, it was a blizzard outside! I couldn't believe how snowy it was! It took us an hour and a half supposed to 45mintues to get back! We finally made it back and i was happy to unpack my things and get to bed super early that night :)
Monday we had chapel and lazed around for the day. We would of had our course start that day but some people flew in on monday so they bumped the course up to start on Tuesday. We started "Theology of Mission" and it was a pretty good week all in all.

On wednesday I had youth group! I was excited to go back and see the kids and see how there breaks went and just hang out with them. It was good talking with the girls in my group and getting to know the new girls that had came out. I really love hanging out with these girls and trying to show them Christ's love through me. We went on a scavenger hunt which was LOTS of fun but i had to make sure my attitude was in the right place. It was pouring outside so it wasnt too nice but i had a team of girls that were really eager to get all the things on the list! It was fun running around in the rain around the town! We ended up getting alot of things but did not win :( It was fun though just bonding and hanging out and running from place to place trying to find different things on the list that we had been given.

The week went on with our course which was pretty good and than on saturday was our last day and I was thankful for the rest! I was really tired from the week! Even though i had, had decent bed times i was still finding myself tired. On saturday night we watched a movie some of us called "Sometimes in April". It was an educational movie let me say. I don't want to say good cause it wasn't a movie that you say wow amazing story. Because it was a very sad movie with many events that were very horrible. It was about the genocide that went on in Rwanda in the early 1990's. About the Hutu's and the Tutsi's (if im spelling it right)...they did not like each other and war broke out. The Hutu's wanted to kill all the Tutsi's and wipe out all of them, kids, woman, men. It didn't matter who they were they killed them. It was a horrible thing that went on in history and there was so much injustice that went on. It made me really realize that i live in such a free country and i take it for granite often. So yea that was a very educational and eye opening movie to watch that changed some of my views at looking at things now. I just couldn't believe how people could be so cruel to innocent humans.

Sunday I went to church and I was glad to be back. It was a good church service and than afterwards we went to lunch at one of the familys from the church. It was fun hanging out and talking with the family and getting to know them. I enjoyed myself lots and the food was great! I ended up biking from their house all the way back to the camp becuase someone had biked to church that morning but didn't want to bike back so I did. The hills kind really tired me out going up them haha but it was a good workout!

The week has come to an end but monday is coming and im super pumped to be going to Mt.Washington for some boarding and snow shoeing! I will be there from monday til friday and im super duper excited to have fun! I do have lots of hmk im bringing along with me so im hoping i can get some done! I will take lots of pictures and be sure to put some up when i return!

some things to pray for:
-For me to get enough sleep and go to bed at a decent hour
-To get all my homework done and not be too rushed
-For the Lord to ready my heart for the months ahead
-Wisdom to decide where I should be in this upcoming September

My blog is officially back on every mondayish i will be writing in it! So keep on looking for updates :)
